On Saturday, we went up to the home of one of the players on my travel baseball team.  The house was in Stockport, New York.  The house was a few miles from the estate of Martin Van Buren, eighth president of the United States.  Apparently, this house and property once were part of the Van Buren estate.  The landscape was beautiful.  There were apple orchards all around.  The best part of the house was the baseball field out back.  I’m not talking about a large field where you could play a game.  It was a real baseball diamond, complete with backstop.  I half expected Joe Jackson to come walking in from the tall grass out in left field.  We played a kids vs. parents game and a good time was had by all.

While wandering around the grounds I came upon this teepee in a clearing.  It was very idyllic.
